Corona Virus

If there is anything I think we are meant to do in this lifetime, it is to do everything to ensure others can think about anything livelily.

In medicine, I often see the reverse. People are fed disinformation. They’re sick and dying and grasp on to whatever floats while they sink. Any advice is good, as long as it makes them feel better.

Sometimes, I have to say the bad, to admit that this is the end. I have to write that I am signing off.

Today, though, while the WHO has announced COVID-19 a pandemic, I am signing on. I’ve put together a website that has all the most recent stats, updates, and clinical ideas on treatment and monitoring for corona virus: https://whohascoronavirus.com.

It is a small attempt to live helpfully, to do that anything for everything. Though I mostly write poetry here, numbers are the most comforting pandemic poem. Let me know your thoughts on it!

  1. Wear a face mask, and wash your hands frequently, and don’t gather together.

  3. Day 3 of the lock down, day 1 of curfew. Never thought I’d actually write these words, let alone live them…

  4. This is definitely scary times. I am doing what is recommended by the cdc which is to practice social distancing, stay home if sick, wash hands… all that stuff. Be safe everyone.

  5. I’m not sure how you found me, but I’m glad you did. You’re a great writer! And based on your bio, smart to boot! I’m completely right-brained. I was otherwise occupied when left brains were handed out. I look forward to reading more from you. Thank you. Joan from “Joan’s Jottings.”

  8. To me many obvious things that should have been done weren’t, or done too late and some obvious things have not been done yet. Here is one. JUNK MAIL This is still being delivered, and it is mostly printed on shiny paper or wrapped in polythene, unlike proper mail which is in normal absorbent
paper and therefore nowhere near as contagious. Junk Mail should be stopped forthwith. The post office has the power to do this immediately. They can do it on personal request, so here is a global request!

    • Yes. I agree. And what a waste of paper, time, and money. So many things need to change. We can start small, with changes like this, and gradually move onto the larger, necessary changes.
