If there is anything I think we are meant to do in this lifetime, it is to do everything to ensure others can think about anything livelily.
In medicine, I often see the reverse. People are fed disinformation. They’re sick and dying and grasp on to whatever floats while they sink. Any advice is good, as long as it makes them feel better.
Sometimes, I have to say the bad, to admit that this is the end. I have to write that I am signing off.
Today, though, while the WHO has announced COVID-19 a pandemic, I am signing on. I’ve put together a website that has all the most recent stats, updates, and clinical ideas on treatment and monitoring for corona virus: https://whohascoronavirus.com.
It is a small attempt to live helpfully, to do that anything for everything. Though I mostly write poetry here, numbers are the most comforting pandemic poem. Let me know your thoughts on it!
Wear a face mask, and wash your hands frequently, and don’t gather together.
This is like a science fiction novel playing out in real time,,,
My thoughts exactly and that’s actually making all this even harder to believe. I keep thinking I’m in a damn movie!!
I agree! How are you taking it?
We go into lockdown from tomorrow night and we are a very undisciplined and entitled society so it will be interesting.
As for the movie, if I was earning the relevant fee it would be a doddle!
I agree
Day 3 of the lock down, day 1 of curfew. Never thought I’d actually write these words, let alone live them…
This is definitely scary times. I am doing what is recommended by the cdc which is to practice social distancing, stay home if sick, wash hands… all that stuff. Be safe everyone.
I’m not sure how you found me, but I’m glad you did. You’re a great writer! And based on your bio, smart to boot! I’m completely right-brained. I was otherwise occupied when left brains were handed out. I look forward to reading more from you. Thank you. Joan from “Joan’s Jottings.”
Thanks Joan. Us righties need the lefties to set us straight.
LOL, I was probably daydreaming when the left brains were handed out 😄
Thanks so much for following Oh, the Places We See. It’s great to meet you and see your blog as well.
Please stay healthy and stay inside. We’re all pulling together to make this world safer.
Thanks for this link to good information.

This is very thoughtful of you! Thanks for putting this together!
Anything to help during these trying times.
To me many obvious things that should have been done weren’t, or done too late and some obvious things have not been done yet. Here is one. JUNK MAIL This is still being delivered, and it is mostly printed on shiny paper or wrapped in polythene, unlike proper mail which is in normal absorbent
paper and therefore nowhere near as contagious. Junk Mail should be stopped forthwith. The post office has the power to do this immediately. They can do it on personal request, so here is a global request!
Yes. I agree. And what a waste of paper, time, and money. So many things need to change. We can start small, with changes like this, and gradually move onto the larger, necessary changes.
Reblogged this on The Searchlight.
I’ve seen isolating since Mar 7. Just because of the faulty testing . now its mandatory and im ok with it. Just wishing it was gone. The news says it is just starting. On the news they were saying to wipe down groceries u get from the store ive been doing that for weeks
why for weeks?
I blogged about it. So much mixed information. I have health issues didn’t want to take a chance
I agree with the mood and ethos of both your post and the comments made here. Thank you for your candour, acuteness of perception and sensitivity.
