where are the giants that were here
mountains among mountains
shadows of the sun
those that told of the flowers petals that cut through grey
that said in the brightest of emptied evenings
filled with coffee and booze
that you cannot live all the lives you wanted
that saw see me so small
when there are so many hearts yet to love
so many moments to be thick with her
thinking that the night is wrapped in arms
and morning smells like turkey sandwiches
and there are cat tails of smoke in every movement
that salute the sky
the dance is old though
she is anew again
the clouds try to remember
the footsteps that crushed cities
and made meaning like ours
