praying for those who pray

how is it

that a subway filled with dogs

provides joy

and one with too many owners

crowds the vehicle

with dread

as a lazy mosquito

sucking itself

into a question of

will it become

an itchy bump

or an itchier nothing

we are all

looking for relaxation

that doesn’t lead to boredom

or for something else

to look for

like the mosquito

that gives our blood

a purpose

i find it

hard to believe

there are so many

good looking believers

and i wasn’t so blessed

with god being there

when i needed him

so that later

i could be there

for him

as a testament to

all he can create

in a short dress

blonde hair

and everlasting legs
