where is the you in the dress
i said to me naked as the self
which grew up and grasped onto
this this this
moving more more into what i remembered
like the spilling seas in you
where we were repeating beginnings of time
that saw mountains out of nothing
and forgiveness to the sky for not always looking up
apologies to the ground for walking atop it
and an address that belonged to the two of us
before we knew not
and looked for those mountains again
only to find them flattened from things
we’ll never know
*
if i am less than the sky
hold me up
shape me into the clouds
and allow me to pour my me
as an apology for trying to once
drown the world
